March 20, 2019: History of Internal Medicine program
A seminar on the ‘History of Origin and Evolution of Internal Medicine in Kerala’ conducted by Kesavadev Trust as part of Kesavadev Museum project on 20 March at Kesavadev Hall, Mudavanmugal,Trivandrum. Dr.K.V Krirshnadas Retired Professor of Medicine and student of the first batch MBBS at Trivandrum Medical College inaugurated the event. Dr.MV.Pillai, Oncologist and Orator moderated the session. The last 6-7 years of P.Kesavadev was closely linked to the general medicine department in Trivandrum Medical College where he was treated for diabetes by late V.C Mathew Roy, Late Dr.Abhayambika, Dr.Vijayalakshmi, Dr.Murukesan and Dr.Ahmed Pillai and hence this effort to document the origin and evolution of internal medicine. More than 30 prominent doctors including Dr. Vijayan A K, Dr.K.K. Manojan, Dr.Thulasidharan, Dr.John Panikker, Dr.Ahmed Pillai, Dr.Murukesan, Dr. Krishnakumar S, Dr. Madhusudhanan, Dr.Ahmed Pillai, Dr. Mathew Thomas, Dr.Sreejith N Kumar, Dr.Benny P.V, Dr.Sivasankaran, Dr.C.Rajasekharan, Dr.Elizabeth K.E, Dr.Devin Prabhakar, Dr.Harikrishnan R, Dr.Jacob Antony etc. also spoke at the occasion. The entire event was video recorded for rendering to Kesavadev Museum.
April 4, 2019: JPEF Mini CME
Kesavadev Trust and Jothydev’s Professional Education Forum conducted JPEF Mini CME on 4th April at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum. Dr.Jothydev spoke on ‘Combination of SGLT2i and DPP4i: rationale and place in T2D management’. Other speakers included Dr.Sunil Prasobh, Dr.Tittu Oommen and Dr.George Koshy. Dr.Arun Shankar and Dr.Sunil Prasobh chaired the sessions.
