Dr. Georgi Abraham (Prof. of Medicine, Pondycherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry & Consultant – Nephrologist, Madras Medical Mission, Chennai) was awarded the Roscoe R. Robinson Award that acknowledges outstanding achievements in the field of education in nephrology and medicine. The award was presented at the plenary session of the World Congress of Nephrology held in Cape Town. The prevalence of chronic kidney disease is approximately 7 -15% in India. Georgi Abraham, is the founder trustee, TANKER Foundation, a charitable trust that provides healthcare and assistance to less privileged patients with kidney ailments.
