Free Camp at Adoor
Diabscreen Kerala P.Kesavadev Trust free camp was organised in association with Kadambanad Grama Panchayat. Around 102 subjects underwent tests (free sugar, cholesterol, BP, weight) and physical examination. Free medications also distributed. The camp was organised by Mr.Sam Mathew (Q tel, Doha). Dr.Jothydev conducted interactive education session for 2 hours. The program was attended by Adv. Manoj.S (Inauguration, Kadambanad Grama Panchayat President), Sam Mathew(Chairperson), Meethkumar(Block Plan Co ordinator) etc.

Free camp at Kottarakkara
Diabscreen Kerala P.Kesavadev trust Screened 300 subjects, organised by Shri.Chandra Babu (Mumbai) at his residence (Karthik, Kottathala P.O). All subjects were screened for fasting sugar, fasting cholesterol, BP, BMI etc. Dr.Jothydev after the 2 hr interactive lecture examined all deserving patients and free medications were distributed. Neethu Annie Simon, dietician also spoke to 300 subjects and cleared all their doubts on diet in diabetes. Shri.Chandra Babu arranged breakfast, snacks and lunch for the entire team and all 300 plus subjects.

Patient Education programme for type 1 Diabetes patients
Kesavadev Trust organised a free get together of type 1 diabetes subjects under treatment at Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Centre, Trivandrum.Venue: Hotel Maurya Rajadhani, Statue, Trivandrum. Kids aged from 3 yrs upto 25 yrs and more participated with their parents. Type 1 Diabetics aged more than 50 were also present and shared their experiences living with diabetes from childhood. Subjects came from all over. Dr.Jothydev, Dieticians Geethu and Neethu Annie Simon lectured on various topics which included insulin regimens, carb counting, ISF, hypo management etc., One girl had low sugars during the meeting and was treated promptly offering a lesson for all the others. Patients ranged from those with insulin pumps and also the very poor on free insulin, glucometer strips etc., from Kesavadev trust. Parents and older subjects shared their experiences. Free snacks and lunch were provided to patients and all the caretakers. Shri Jayapalan.A, Director of operations offered vote of thanks.
