19th P Kesavadev Awards 2023-Announcement

The 19th P. Kesavadev Awards, instituted by the P. Kesavadev Trust in memory of the late writer P. Kesavadev, were announced on the 2nd of June 2023 at the Trivandrum Press Club. The P. Kesavadev Literary Award goes to the poet Dr. Desamangalam Ramakrishnan for his exceptional work towards literature. Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, also known as "The Liver Doc," was selected for the P. Kesavadev Diabscreen Award for his contribution to health education, particularly liver diseases, through his social media handle. The Trust Chairperson Seethalakshmi Dev, Managing Trustee Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Chairman of the Literary Award Committee George Onakkoor, Committee Chairperson Dr. Arun Shankar, Dr. Krishnadev Jothydev, and Sunitha Jothydev attended the press conference.

19th P.Kesavadev Award Ceremony 2023

The 19th P.Kesavadev Awards were presented on the 7th of June 2023, at the P.Kesavadev Hall. V Sivankutty, Minister of Education and Labour, presented the P.Kesavadev literary award to Dr.Desamangalam Ramakrishnan, for his contributions towards literature, and the P.Kesavadev Diabscreen award to Dr.Cyriac Abby Philips for his contributions towards healthcare. Minister of Higher Education Smt.R. Bindu delivered the Kesavadev memorial speech. Trust chairperson, Smt.Seethalakshmidev was the chairperson of the program. Minister V Sivankutty, T.N Krishnachandran, Dr.George Onakkoor, Vijayakrishnan, Dr.Desamangalam Ramakrishnan, and Dr.Syriac Abby Philips spoke during the event. Smt.Sunitha Jothydev gave the vote of thanks.

ADA 83rd Scientific Sessions 2023

83rd ADA Scientific Sessions took place in San Diego, from 23rd to 26th of June 2023. Dr.Jothydev presented three original research titled; ‘Assessing the quality of life of people with diabetes adhering to telemedicine over 15 years’, ‘Complications of diabetes after 15 years: comparing telemedicine with conventional care’, and ‘Pros and cons of telemedicine in diabetes: a survey among doctors and allied HCPs at the conference’.
