JPEF Mini CME 2020

      Jothydev’s Professional Education Forum (JPEF) in association with Kesavadev Trust conducted the first mini JPEF CME of 2020 on 05 March, 2020 at Residency Tower, Trivandrum.

      Ms.Gopika Krishnan, Director, Research and Academics, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centres, Kerala offered welcome. The session started with a lecture by Dr. Aswin David Ashok, Clinical Head & Chief Diabetologist, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Center, Attingal on “ADA 2020 Diabetes Consensus Treatment Guidelines- What is new?” . This session was chaired by Dr.Asha Ashik, Chief Diabetologist, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Kochi.

      Dr.A.George Koshy, Professor of Cardiology, Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum presented the second session on “Evaluation and management of CAD in diabetes”. The third session titled “Empowering T2DM management beyond HbA1c- the vasculo-metabolic axis, mortality and clinical place of SGLT2-inhibitors” was presented by Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Chairman and Managing Director, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centres, Kerala. The second and third sessions were chaired by Dr.Mohanan Nair, Chairman, IMA AMS, Nemom Chapter. The speaker for the last session was Dr.Tittu Oommen, Consultant Endocrinologist, Providence Endocrine and Diabetes Speciality Centre, Trivandrum on “Wisdom of choosing a SGLT2i and DPP4i in T2D management”. The session was chaired by Dr.Asha Ashik, Chief Diabetologist, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Kochi. The day ended with a panel discussion for half an hour on the topics presented. The event was attended by a total of 100 practicing modern medicine doctors including the invited faculty, delegates and members of JDC family. The theme of the CME was "Heart matters".
