Whether educated or not, patients in large numbers get attracted to unscientific, unproven magical remedies. This is seen all over the world; some examples are insulin plants and leaves, sugar treatment, powder treatment to replace insulin etc. etc. It takes months to years to realize that they are getting cheated and large numbers of patients including children with type 1 diabetes succumb to complications. Diabetes is a treatable disease. As responsible human beings we should be enlightening and educating our friends and family members to avoid such catastrophic events in life.
