BFO (By, For and Of the students) Academic app
On 28 October 2020 Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev launched the logo of the academic app BFO (By, For and Of the students), an initiative from the All Kerala Sharp Vision Team founded by Karthik Raj (final year MBBS student). This app aims at exploring new updates and potentials in the field of medicine.
IDL 2020
The Indian Diabetes League (IDL 2020), the great visual diabetes battle was set off on 19 October 2020. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was the umpire of battle on 28 October 2020, between Delhi Capitals and Marathas of Maharashtra along with Dr.Kamlakar Tripathi and leg umpire Dr.Sanjay Reddy. The topic of this session was ‘Cardio-renal benefits are class effects of SGLT2i: Yes/No’. Legend of the game was Dr.A.K.Das. Commentators were Dr.J.J.Mukherjee and Dr.Vinay Dhandania. Marathas of Maharashtra won.
DECON 2020
Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev enunciated on “Bringing GLP1 early in the conversations” in a national webinar- DECON 2020, organized by Dr.Suresh Damodaran.It's increasingly recommended to use GLP1RA such as Liraglutide early in type 2 diabetes to prevent future vascular complications. Though there is incremental cost difference in the beginning, this results in huge cost savings in the future and in addition prevention of devastating complications. The session was moderated by Dr.Sabeer. A. Rasheed. The webinar received active participation from physicians across the country.
National launch of the revolutionary Libre
The revolutionary continuous glucose monitoring device Freestyle Libre was launched in India, a historic moment for diabetes in India. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was a part of this virtual event on 1 November 2020 and spoke on 'Clinical evidences of Real time CGM in patients on OADs'. Other speakers and panelists included Dr.Mohan V, Dr.Shashank Joshi and Dr.Banshi Saboo.
Practical Endocrinology 2020
On 8th November 2020, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev along with Dr.Tirthankar Chaudhury was the panellist of a virtual event, ‘Practical Endocrinology 2020’ organized by Dr.Mithun Bhartia and Dr.Banshi Saboo. The topic of session was ‘Newer Insulin - Do we really need them?’. Dr.Sanjay Shah moderated the session.

The 2 hour Facebook live with JDC team as part of 2020 World Diabetes Month celebration themed 'Diabetes Nurses make the difference', beheld a healthy Q&A session on 12th November 2020.
