Flash Mob at Thampanoor, Trivandrum
On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, JDC organized a flash mob at Thampanoor KSRTC Bus stand, Trivandrum, to spread awareness on diabetes.
Diabetes Screening Camp at JDC Attingal
Free diabetes screening camp was organized in Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Attingal on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. Dr.Ashwin David Ashok, Centre head, JDC Attingal, led the team.
Walkathon at JDC
JDC organized a walkathon on the occasion of world diabetes month, to create awareness among people about diabetes. The whole JDC family participated in the event.
Diabetes Awareness Seminar
A diabetes awareness seminar was conducted at VKP Kalid Hajee Memorial Madrasthul Rahmaniya Higher Secondary School Padanna (VKPKHMMRHSS Padanna). The Higher Secondary National Service Scheme of the school organized the event. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadevinteracted with the students and gave them awareness on diabetes and diabetes management with proper lifestyle management.
WDD: Group Education Event
A group education event was conducted at JDC, Trivandrum, on behalf of world diabetes month. The public was invited to attend the event. Ms.Geethu Sanal, Chief Dietitian, JDC, talked about ‘Healthy Dietary Practices’. Dr.Junaid Naina, RSSDI Fellow, JDC, talked on ‘Routine Tests Done in Diabetes Care’. Ms.Gopika Beena Chandran, Clinical trials head, JDC, spoke and demonstrated on the topic, ‘Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose’. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev gave the audience education on diabetes management and also talked about the latest technologies in diabetes management. Dr.Shahana Yasmin talked about Diabetes foot care.
Diabetes Dialogues 2022
Diabetes dialogues 2022 was hosted at O by Tamara, Trivandrum on the 5th and 6th of November 2022 by Dr.Mathew John, Dr.Tittu Oommen, and the team. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev presented his talk on “Organising outpatient care for optimal patient outcomes: In-clinic, telemedicine and remote monitoring”, on the 5th of November. Dr.Arun Shankar chaired the session.
ISPAD 2022
Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev and Ms.Gopika Krishnan attended the 48th annual ISPAD (International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes) 2022, in the United Arab Emirates. Dr.Jothydev presented his poster on ‘Comparing points in target range assessed by Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) using a vacuum-based lancing device and conventional lancing device’ at the conference.
JPEF mini CME October 2022
On 27 October 2022, Jothydev’s Professional Education Forum (JPEF) in association with the P Kesavadev Trust hosted the JPEF Mini CME October 2022, at Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum. The program was set off by Ms.Gopika Krishnan, Director, Academics & Research, JDC, with a brief welcome. The academic event was inaugurated by Dr.V.Mohanan Nair, Vice-President, IMA South Zone. Dr.Vijayakumar J, President, IMA Nemom, gave the felicitation. Dr.Arun Shankar, Medical Director, JDC, spoke on “Management of Hyperglycemia in T2D-What’s New in ADA-EASD Consensus Report 2022?”. The session was chaired by Ms.Gopika Krishnan. Subsequently, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev spoke on “Closing the Loop with 780G- Experience From India”. Dr.V.Mohanan Nair chaired the session. The last technical session was a lecture on '"What's new in recently released ISPAD guidelines 2022? (Diabetes in children and adolescents) by Dr.Mohan T Shenoy, Consultant Endocrinologist, Sree Gokulam Medical College and Research Foundation, Venjaramoodu, Trivandrum, chaired by Dr.Benny P.V, Professor & HOD, Deptartment of Community Medicine, Sree Gokulam Medical College and Research Foundation, Venjaramoodu, Trivandrum. The program was concluded with a panel discussion including all the faculty.
