The new insulin Degludec (Tresiba)

The new insulin Degludec (Tresiba) has been launched in several countries including India. Its unique structure and design enables it to be the only peak less ultra long acting insulin for once daily use. It has the lowest chances for nocturnal hypoglycemia and need not be taken same time every day. Degludec is the latest milestone in insulin discovery first being the original insulin discovery in 1921 by Banting and Best.
