Diabetes Educator’s International Conference

On 6th September 2020, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev along with Dr.Sunil Jain chaired the session by Dr.Gary Scheiner, who undertook Insulin Workshop: 'What, When & How?, at 5th Daydeic 2020- Diabetes Educator's International Conference. Ms.Gopika Krishnan spoke on 'Diabetes Tech: Hope or Hype'.

Diabetes Digital Dialogues 2020

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on "Barriers to the adoption of technology in diabetes" at Diabetes Digital Dialogues 2020 on 12 September 2020 organised by Dr.Mathew John. The session was titled Global Issues in Diabetes.

Dr.Sanjay Kalra, Dr.Neeta Deshpande and Dr.Om J Lakhaniwere the other speakers and Dr.Sunil Prashobh and Dr.Sasikumar V were the moderators of the session.

RSSDI Diabetes and Technology Conference

RSSDI Diabetes and Technology Task Force organized, ‘Diabetes and Technology’- a unique symposium where all major technical advances in diabetes care were discussed by inventors, developers, researchers, and experienced users. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was part of the organizing team and he was among the panelist for the discussion, ‘Who will use SMBG 5 Years from now?’ along with Dr.Julien Boisdron, Dr.Mike Grady, Mr.Michael Smith, Dr.Manoj Chawla on 12 September 2020, moderated by Dr.Sujoy Ghosh and Dr.Jaiprakash Sai. He also chaired a session on 13 September 2020, along with Dr.Shalini Jaggi and the speakers of the session were Dr.Ohad Cohen, Dr.Ian Thompson, and Dr.Julia Mader.

RSSDI Diabetes Bytes

The RSSDI Diabetes Technology Task Force comprising Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr.Manoj Chawla, Dr.Sunil Jain were the panelists of the discussion ‘Diabetes and Technology’ at Episode 13 of Diabetes bytes, an endeavor by RSSDI to connect people through social media platforms to discuss latest and fast progressing aspect of diabetes management, on 17 September 2020, along with Dr.Mithun Bhartia as the chair.

D-Tecon 2020, 4th Annual Diabetes, Thyroid and Endocrine Conference was held virtually from 18th September to 20thSeptember 2020. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev expatiated on “Verdict on new generation basal insulins- ushering brighter approach” on 18th September 2020. The moderators of the session were Dr.Puneet Saxena and Dr.R K Goyal.

Diabetes Educator’s Symposium

Ms.Gopika Krishnan was a panelist on Diabetes Educator Symposium, aimed at driving continuing education initiatives focused on SMBG among Indian Diabetes Educators & Care providers, held under the aegis of Lifescan Diabetes Institute, along with Ms.Manju Panda and Ms.Rekha Srivasthava on 19 September 2020. The moderator of the session was Dr.Pratibha Karnad.

Ryze Talk

On 24 September 2020, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was the faculty of a national webinar, RYZE Talk, along with Dr.Sanjay Agarwal. He enunciated on ‘Beyond clinical trials: Realizing potential of insulin co-formulation during routine clinical care’. The session was followed by active discussions.

International Webinar by Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was a speaker of international webinar titled ‘Recent Updates in blood glucose monitoring’ that focused on recent updates in Blood Glucose Monitoring on 26 September 2020. He spoke on ‘Transforming SMBG with Connected Glucometers’. The moderator of the session was Dr.Pratibha Karnad. Ms.Amparo Gonzalez, Director of Lifescan Diabetes Institute, USA gave the keynote address and she also spoke at the webinar. Delegates joined the webinar from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

World Heart Day Observance & Celebrations Seminar

The Rotary District 3211 District Seminar organized a World Heart Day Observance and Celebrations Seminar on ‘Heart to Heart’ on 29 September 2020, where Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on ‘Tips on preventing Heart Disease in Diabetes’. Dr.Prasanth Sankar moderated the lecture.
