A community diabetes screening camp was organized by Esvar Vilas Residents Association on May 18, 2025 at Carmel Higher Secondary School. The camp included Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing, along with anthropometric measurements, aimed at promoting early detection and awareness of diabetes. The event was supported by JDC team with consultations provided by Dr. Arun Shankar. The initiative reflects a continued commitment to accessible, preventive healthcare at the community level.

On May 17, 2025, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre, Trivandrum successfully conducted a Patient Education Program aimed at enhancing diabetes awareness and self-care practices. The session featured insightful talks by Dr. Arun Shankar, Ms. Geethu Sanal, and Ms. Remya Jose. The program focused on empowering patients through education, promoting lifestyle changes, and encouraging proactive diabetes management. A diabetes screening camp was conducted at Cordial Skyview, Karamana on May 4, 2025, focusing on basic health assessments including Random Blood Sugar (RBS) and Height & Weight measurements. The camp saw the participation of 20 attendees and was efficiently managed by the team comprising Divya, Vidya, Jaseer, and Rubin. The initiative aimed to promote early detection and awareness of diabetes among residents, reflecting Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre's continued commitment to preventive healthcare in the community.

World Hypertension Day

On World Hypertension Day (May 17), Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, stressed the urgent need for greater awareness and early action against high blood pressure a silent yet serious threat, especially in people with diabetes. In a special video message shared on the center's Facebook page, he explained how uncontrolled hypertension can quietly damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and brain without showing symptoms. He urged the public to take preventive steps: regularly monitor blood pressure, maintain a healthy diet, stay physically active, adhere to prescribed medications, and ensure accurate BP measurement. His core message was clear - detect it early, treat it effectively, and prevent life-threatening complications and death.
