New treatment for pain in the legs

      More than 75% of patients with uncontrolled diabetes develop excruciating pain in the lower limbs described as diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain. An original study conducted at Jothydev’s Diabetes and Research Centre was presented at ATTD (Advanced Technologies and Treatments in Diabetes, Conference) at Basel, Switzerland. In this study use of insulin pump therapy as reported by the patients, resulted in profound improvement in the pain of neuropathy and no pain relievers or medicines for neuropathy were used by the subjects.
