Death in Diabetes

This statistics is published by the International Diabetes Federation 2015 Diabetes Atlas. Diabetes and its associated deadly complications in the heart, kidney etc. are the major causes of death in most of the countries. The total number of deaths due to diabetes are far more than deaths due to AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria put together.However, the good news is these deaths are preventable provided the patients adopt scientifically proven therapies, adhere to the instructions on diet and exercise, follow up with their physician and diabetes team atleast once in every 3 months and does not discontinue prescribed medications.
