Diabscreen Kerala free diabetes awareness, education and detection camp was organized by P.Kesavadev Trust in conjunction with Sri Gandhaari Amman Kovil Trust on 19 Dec 2013 at Pournami Hall, Gandhaari Amman Kovil, Trivandrum. Anthropometric measurements, blood sugar, total cholesterol etc. were performed for all the camp patients. More than 100 patients attended the camp. The team led by Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on the various aspects of diabetes management. Ms. Geethu Sanal lectured on the role of diet and lifestyle modifications to be followed in diabetes treatment. The patients had free consultation with Dr.Jothydev and were also provided free medications. Mr. Jayapalan A Nair, Director, JDC and Sunitha Jothydev coordinated the camp. The diabetes educators team led by Aneesa Nizam, Prasad (Device technician), Remya Nair(Research) etc. participated. Mr.R.P.Nair Secretary, Gaandhari Amman Kovil Trust supervised the activities.

Mumbai: Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was awarded Incredible Medical Expert of the Decade Award at the sixth edition of Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharmaleaders Business Leadership Awards 2013 on Friday, 27th December 2013 at Hotel Hilton Mumbai International Airport, Mumbai, India. Dr.V.Mohan (Chennai), Dr.Shashank Joshi (Mumbai) and Dr.Deepak Chaturvedi(Mumbai) were also honoured with this prestigious award. Dr.Deepak K Jumani collected the award on behalf of Dr.Jothydev since Dr.Jothydev could not make it to the function on account of hospitalization due to a second attack of dengue. Aam Admi Executive member Dr. Mayank Gandhi gave away the coveted awards in the presence of Chairman, Pharmaleaders Mr. Satya Brahma.
