One day Diabetes awareness workshop for the public was conducted at Nerul, New Mumbai organised by SNMS. More than 500 subjects were screened free of cost. Average sugar was found to be above 300mg%. Salim Kumar welcomed the team from JDC, Trivandrum.

    Dr.K.K Damodaran inaugurated the workshop. Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev, Sunitha Jothydev(Psychologist), Neethu Annie Simon(Dietitian) and Jayasreelally(Diabetes Educator) spoke on their respective subjects. All basic diabetes care aspects were discussed and all advanced medications and gadgets were demonstrated.(flex pens, insulin pumps, glucometers, Victoza etc.)
