6 September 2021: Interactive session with Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev was the invited guest of an interactive session with the staff of UST Global on 6 September 2021. Prevention and treatment of diabetes, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, fatty liver and overweight were some of the topics of discussion.
11 September 2021: NDID 2021
On 11 September 2021, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on ‘How and why you should have TIR assessment’ at the International Congress on Diabetes New Dimension in Diabetes (NDID) 2021 organized by Dr. Ashish Dengra and the team. The session was chaired by Dr. Bharat Saboo and Dr. Brij Mohan.
14 September 2021: Master class webinar series
Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev participated in the panel discussion titled ‘Type 1 diabetes: poor cousin of type 2 DM Indian Considerations’ at the Master class webinar series organized by IMA CGP and Hold Medical Academy of India along with Dr.B M Makkar and Dr.Krishnan Swaminathan. Dr.C Anbarasu was the guest of honour of the event. The moderator of the panel discussion was Dr.A.Muruganathan.
17 September 2021: Diabetes masterclass
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev and Dr. Mithun Bhartia were the speakers at the international masterclass in diabetes hosted by Novartis on 17 September 2021. They spoke on– ‘Artificial pancreas and pitfalls in glucose monitoring’.

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was the speaker at the international masterclass in diabetes on 17 September 2021. He spoke on ‘Artificial pancreas'. The co-speaker Dr.Mithun Bhartia spoke on 'Pitfalls in glucose monitoring’.
18 September 2021: 3DCON 2021
On 18 September 2021, Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) in diabetes care' at the 5th Annual Conference of Diabetes Dialogues Discussions - 3DCON 2021 virtual conference. The session was titled ‘Session 8: novel practices in management’ and was chaired by Dr.K Mohan, Dr.Anbuchelvan and Dr.Madhav. Dr.Banshi Saboo was the co-speaker of the session.

24 September 2021: Ryzodeg ARISE conclave
Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev was the panelist of the discussion ‘Guidelines and in-clinic scenarios - How do we strike a right balance?’ along with Dr.Harish Kumar, Mathew John, Dr.Jayaprakash P at the virtual event, Ryzodeg ARISE conclave on 24 September 2021. Subsequently, he spoke on ‘ARISE: A Ryzodeg initiation and switch effectiveness study- rationale & results’. Around 300 doctors actively participated in the event.
25 September 2021: GLP-1 Renaissance
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on the ‘Discovery and development of the first oral GLP-1 RA’ at the GLP-1 Renaissance virtual event hosted on 25 September 2021. Dr. V Mohan and Dr. P K Jabbar chaired the session.

Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on the ‘Discovery and development of the first oral GLP-1 RA’ at the GLP-1 Renaissance virtual event hosted on 25 September 2021. Dr.V Mohan and Dr.P K Jabbar chaired the session.
27 September 2021: Type 1 Management in children - what should teachers know?
On 27 September 2021, P.Kesavadev Trust organized a training program for school and college teachers titled ‘Type 1 Management in children - what should teachers know?’. Kerala Education Minister, Shri V. Sivankutty inaugurated and spoke at the program. The program was set off by Ms.Sunitha Jothydev, Executive Director, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre (JDC), with a brief welcome speech. Subsequently, Ms. Gopika Krishnan, Director, Academics, gave a compendious speech on Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre (JDC).
Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev gave a brief talk on ‘type 1 diabetes’. Dr.Arun Shankar, Medical Director, JDC, elaborated on the difference between ‘Type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes’. Ms.Geethu Sanal, Chief Dietitian, spoke on ‘Hypoglycemia and carb counting basics’. Ms.Akhila Manoj and Ms.Remya Jose, diabetes nurses, spoke on ‘Insulin administration techniques, insulin pump, CGM’ and ‘Glucometer’ respectively. This was followed by a lively discussion. The program was concluded by Dr.Arun Shankar, with a vote of thanks. More than 200 teachers actively participated in the workshop.

29 September 2021: Defeat diabetes camp
Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centres, Trivandrum, Attingal and Kochi participated in an initiative by RSSDI and Rotary ‘nationwide one-day diabetes screening and monitoring camp’ on 29 September 2021, that attempted 1 million blood sugar tests in a single day. A free blood sugar test was provided in and around the centres on the day for the public abiding by the COVID protocol.

On 1 October 2021, Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev lectured on ‘Real-world utility of digital therapeutics in managing T2DM in India’ at a national webinar hosted exclusively for the use of registered medical practitioners in India.
2 October 2021: DIAcareCON 2021
Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev was the invited guest and speaker at the Annual virtual conference of Dia Care DIAcareCON 2021 organized by Dr. Banshi Saboo and team. He spoke on ‘Quest to put peptide in a pill: Advent of Oral GLP-1 RAs’ on 2 October 2021. D S R Aravind and Dr. K K Gangopadhyay were the co-speakers of the session. Dr. Pravin Kalvit and Dr. Vishal Kastawar were the moderators and Dr. Tarjani Vyas was the rapporteur of the session.
5 October 2021- Dil Maange More
On 5 October 2021, Dr. Rajiv Kovil organized a 2-week long academic extravaganza titled ‘Dil Maange More‘. 20,000 doctors from across the country participated. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev spoke on ‘closing the loop- DIY AP’. Dr. Manish Kumar Jangam coordinated the program.

14-15 October 2021: iSchool: The Insulin Training Virtual Workshop
Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre, Kesavadev Trust, and IMA-AMS Nemom organized a two-day insulin training workshop - iSchool Series 5, virtually on 14-15 October 2021 to commemorate 100 years of insulin discovery. Dr. V Mohanan Nair, Vice President, Elect, IMA Kerala, inaugurated the program. Dr. N. Sreedhar, President, former Director of Health Services Kerala, gave the Presidential Address. Dr. Jothydev Kesavadev, Dr. Arun Shankar, Ms. Gopika Krishnan, Ms. Geethu Sanal, Dr. Ashwin David Ashok, Ms. Remya Jose, Dr. Yaseen Unes, Dr. Asha Ashik discussed diverse topics related to insulin, including, an overview of diabetes management and insulin therapy, insulin regimens, types, benefits and challenges, insulin initiation, titration and intensification, basics of nutrition in diabetes, insulin therapy with OHA, insulin storage, injection and techniques, dos and don'ts, newer technologies for insulin delivery, insulin delivery devices and case studies and discussion. This was followed by active interactions. 50 doctors from across the state participated in the two-day virtual event.
