Awareness Program on Diabetes Prevention
In observance of World Diabetes Day 2024, Jothydev's Diabetes Research Centre (JDC) joined hands with the
Poojappura Unni Nagar Residents’ Association (PURA) to conduct an awareness session on diabetes prevention.
The session was led by Ms. Sunitha Jothydev (Executive Director, JDC), Dr. Arun Shankar (Medical Director, JDC),
Dr. Krishnadev (Medical Officer, JDC), and Dr. Junaid Naina (Medical Officer, JDC).
The event was graced by the presence of PURA office bearers, including Adv. K. Viswambharan (President),
V.S. Anil Prasad (Secretary), and G. Radhakrishnan (Treasurer).
During the session, residents actively participated in discussions, raised questions about diabetes prevention, and received clear, insightful answers from the experts.

DREAMS Diabetes Academy Class
The DREAMS Academy conducted a virtual class on November 7, 2024, featuring a session by Dr. Junaid Naina on the topic 'Macrovascular Complications of Diabetes.' The interactive session saw the participation of 30 attendees, who gained valuable insights into the prevention, management, and implications of macrovascular complications associated with diabetes. The class provided a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of this critical aspect of diabetes care and fostered engaging discussions to address their queries. Diabetes Awareness and Detection Camp 2024
A Diabetes Awareness and Detection Camp was successfully organized on November 10, 2024, in collaboration with IMA Nemom, Jothydev’s Diabetes Research Centre (JDC), and the Madhavakavi Samskrithi Kendram. Team from JDC included Dr. Arun Shankar, Ms. Viji Krishna, Ms. Anu R, and Ms. Santhy Jyogesh. TThe camp featured an awareness class, where Dr. Arun Shankar and Ms. Viji Krishna shared valuable insights on diabetes prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications. Attendees also benefited from free medical consultations provided by Dr. Arun Shankar, addressing individual concerns and offering personalized advice.
