As part of the Diabetes month, the World Diabetes Day Camp at JDC2, Cochin was inaugurated by the renowned cine artist Smt. Mallika Sukumaran on 26 November 2011. More than 100 subjects underwent free tests including HbA1c , SGPT, creatinine etc. Dr. Arun Shankar and Dr. Divya Haridas gave diabetes education lectures and Chief dietician Neethu Annie Ajai spoke on diabetes diet. Free lunch was followed by free consultation by Dr.Arun Shankar, and Dr. Divya Haridas. Free medicines were also provided.The camp was coordinated by Mr. Pavitraraj,Head of Operations, JDC Kochi Unit.
