Issue 38 December 2011

Dear Friends,

In this issue of JDC Diabetes Gems we are covering a couple of important presentations at the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), ‘World Diabetes Congress’ held at Dubai
(4-8 Dec 2011). The 3 presentations from JDC at the ‘World Diabetes Congress’ were:

  1. Telemedicine in diabetes care (DTMS®)
  2. A home delivered diabetes care
  3. Liraglutide(Victoza) – beyond glycemic control
We also have in store further proof to effectiveness of statins in the long term, a meta- analysis discussion on the controversial ‘ cancer risk associated with Lantus’ and how consumption of fish can lower your glucose concentrations.
