In the July 2013 issue, we are presenting before you some of the highlights from American Diabetes Association (ADA) held at Chicago, Illinois in June 2013. The research papers in this issue of Gems are on Vitamin D deficiency and the merits of telemedince ensuring multi drug compliance in diabetes. Other interesting stories include higher doses of insulin not associated with heart disease risk, the hazards of skipping breakfast etc. JDC Picture of the Month is interestingly the U-100 insulin syringe – uses and precautions.
