Hi,

The American Heart Association (AHA) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) have updated the guidelines on the management of blood cholesterol in the prevention of CVD. The updated guidelines that can help health care providers prevent, diagnose and treat high cholesterol levels, were presented during the 2018 AHA’s scientific sessions.

Orally-administered drugs for diabetes work only for some people, but not all. Bacteria that make up the gut microbiome seems to be the culprit behind this.

In the Gems Video of the Month, you can view a motivational video of Ms. Jazz Sethi, a celebrity dancer, with Dr.Banshi Saboo and Dr.Jothydev Kesavadev. She was affected with type 1 diabetes at a very young age and is an inspiration for many battling with the disease.

Please read on to grab more interesting diabetes updates.
